Technology is now an indispensable part of the lives of individuals. It appears everywhere, at anytime and it is changing the ways in which people learn, work and relax. The use of intelligent communication devices, such as smartphones, tablets, notebooks, is more and more familiar.  Location services such as GPS or multimedia applications on mobile like Google Maps or Google Earth are now common. With a smartphone, you can take a photo, customize and send it directly to friends on social networks like Facebook. Even the more complex devices such as service robots (robots in industry, guide robots, house-worker robots, etc.) become more and more useful in our lives. These smart devices have invaded our lives. Bill Gates (Microsoft) himself has recently predicted that in a dozen years there would be "a robot in every home".

At the same time, novel ways of interacting with these smart devices have been emerged to make them friendlier, simpler and more powerful. We talk about the usage of multimedia (sound, image/video, text, etc.) technology. Touchscreens, synthesized speech and speech recognition (as in SIRI system of Apple), and also the smart camera (as Kinect from Microsoft) allow us to control applications with only body’s simple movements. Other systems measuring the activity of muscles or the brain activity will be soon available.

The International Master Program in Ambient Computing, Multimedia and Interaction (ACMI) provides a high-level training program to experts in this speciality. After this master, students are able to:

understand and control the basis and advanced knowledge in ambient computing, multimedia information processing, speech and image/video processing with context awareness, sensors and sensor network, human-machine interaction (person-system interaction);
propose solutions to address one of these issues,
imagine and conceive new applications in this field;
and thus, participate to innovations in Vietnam and Asia.

Students will be trained to develop professional skills to obtain successful careers in future: independent or team-work study skills, analysing skills, systems thinking skills, written and oral communication skills, time/project management skills, etc.

The International Research Institute MICA (Multimedia, Information, Communication and Applications), where you will pursue the Master program, is a leader in the ACMI speciality in Vietnam. This means that instruction in the courses is given by leading experts, Vietnamese and foreign experts, and that they are always fully up to date.

This Master program will be international. The courses are offered in English so they are suitable for students from Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, French, ..., and also other countries around the world. In the international environment, you can create a global contact network of tutors, researchers, as well as your fellow students.

Student could choice among 2 possibilities:
